Taylors Pass is a narrow winding mountain track linking the Wairau and Awatere Valleys of Marlborough. The vineyard, located in the Awatere Valley, buffers the meandering Awatere River. A warm, stony, rugged terrain characterises this picturesque vineyard. This Pinot Noir is a blend of clones 5 and 777 grown in the Taylors Pass Vineyard. Under careful management the vines were cropped at well balanced yields and hand picked at optimum ripeness to ensure ripe flavours and good concentration. Minimal, gentle and natural winemaking techniques were employed to preserve the delicacy of this fine Pinot Noir.
